At Bochemie, we believe that supporting young talent and connecting theory with practice has deep meaning. In recent days, we welcomed two groups of students, each at a different stage of their educational journey, but both united by an interest in modern industry and technology.
From School Desks to Real Production
For 8th-grade students from the Orlová-Lutyně Elementary School, the visit to Bochemie was their first encounter with industrial practice. The program was divided into two thematic areas:
- Physics and Electricity: Students followed the path of energy through the company and visited our photovoltaic power plant.
- Chemistry in Practice: The second group gained insight into the production of disinfectants and observed demonstrations of visual identification of chemical elements in analytical laboratories.
Motivation for Future Specialists
Another excursion was intended for 3rd-year students from Josef Kainar Grammar School in Hlučín. These were participants of the elective seminar “Chemistry Exercises,” young people already preparing for their final exams and subsequent university studies in the field of chemistry.
The students went through the complete chain of our technologies:
- The Path of Chlorine: From basic raw materials to final products.
- The World of Nickel: Production of battery materials and assembly of Ni-Cd batteries GAZ ENERGY.
- Specialties: Presentation of the unique production of Feropur, which is used worldwide in the pickling of stainless steels and special alloys in a reducing melt.
Together We Shape the Future of the Industry
The greatest reward for us was the students’ questions about what they need to study in order to one day become part of our team. This confirms that the excursions fulfilled their goal – to inspire, motivate, and show a path toward an interesting career.
We thank all our colleagues who dedicated their time to the students and shared their expertise and enthusiasm for the field. We look forward to meeting many of these young people again in the future, not as visitors, but as new colleagues.
